As January comes to a close, Chicagoans have a variety of events to look forward to this weekend, including markets, food pop-ups, music performances and community gatherings.

The Valentine’s Market at Rockwell on the River will take place from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Hosted by Vintage House Chicago, the market features 120 vendors with vintage and handmade goods. Admission is free.

For those interested in culinary experiences, Prohibition THCafe and Oooh Wee It Is! are teaming up for a one-day THC-infused soul food event on Friday at 2113 S. State St. Attendees must pre-order and be at least 21 years old.

Comedy fans can attend “Good,” a stand-up showcase hosted by Greg Kennedy at The Lincoln Lodge on Friday night. Tickets are available for purchase.

Music lovers have several options this weekend. The Second Hand News Fleetwood Mac tribute band returns to Beverly Arts Center on Friday evening. Meanwhile, the Julia Keefe Indigenous Jazz Ensemble will perform at the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts.

Vin Chicago is holding a wine sale on Saturday with over 200 wines offered at discounts of up to 50 percent.

Aunt Lizzie’s Bakery Pop-Up will be at Calabria Imports on Saturday offering baked goods inspired by family recipes.

Dovetail Brewery will host its final Viennese Beer Hall event for the month on Saturday, featuring Vienna-inspired beer and cuisine.

Gardeners can prepare for spring by attending the Kilbourn Park Greenhouse seed swap from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday. University of Illinois Master Gardeners will answer questions about seeds and gardening.

Shoppers can visit the Ravenswood Makers Market at KOVAL Distillery on Saturday afternoon for handmade items from local artists.

The Cider Summit returns to Navy Pier this Saturday, offering over 125 ciders and cider cocktails. Part of the ticket proceeds benefit The Evolved Network nonprofit organization (https://www.evolvednetwork.org/).

Other events include Begyle & Friends Winter Party featuring local breweries, a hat knit-a-long fundraiser supporting ICIRR and Community Aid Network, an R&B paint-and-sip night, Jefferson Park Sunday Market with seasonal produce and gifts, Igor Does My Bike Anniversary Party with sales and classes throughout Sunday, Beer Temple’s Winter Fest with special beers and fire-grilled foods, Star Maker Market showcasing vegan street food at Mindful Baking in Ravenswood, Sounds Of Sumud fundraiser benefiting a school in Gaza (https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-us-raise-funds-for-the-martyr-dr-saeed), Real Men Cook Chicken & Chili Cookoff supporting Real Men Charities (https://realmencharitiesinc.org/), GMan Tavern’s 20×2 Chicago Variety Show featuring creative performances, and Karim Nagi & Huzam Ensemble performing Arab music traditions at Epiphany Center for the Arts.
