The Richmond Flying Squirrels are preparing to open their new stadium, CarMax Park, for the 2026 Minor League Baseball season. The team has partnered with Professional Sports Catering (PSC) to manage food, beverage, and hospitality services at the new venue.

According to Ben Rothrock, Chief Operating Officer of the Flying Squirrels, “As we move into a new era, we have aimed to raise the bar on the fan experience all around CarMax Park, and we are excited to carry out that mission through this partnership with PSC. Fans can expect a variety of exciting concessions offerings and efficient service options throughout the ballpark when it opens, and PSC shares in our commitment to delivering a top-notch food & beverage and hospitality experience at CarMax Park.”

Tom Dickson, CEO of PSC, stated, “We’re excited to team up with the Flying Squirrels to write a new chapter of fan experiences in Richmond at this amazing new ballpark. With state-of-the-art culinary facilities, fast and convenient concessions destinations, and multiple magnificent premium hospitality offerings, every aspect has been crafted to be truly elevated. The hospitality experience at CarMax Park will be among the best in Minor League Baseball.”

CarMax Park is set to open on April 7th with expanded food and beverage choices compared to previous seasons. The new amenities will include signature concession stands offering items such as BBQ plates with house-made sauces, specialty burgers, hot chicken dishes, burritos, and more. Three concourse concession stands will feature grab-and-go technology designed for quicker service. A main kitchen spanning 4,000 square feet will serve all areas of the stadium alongside a dedicated kitchen for suites and lounges. Premium experiences will also expand with luxury suites and club seating providing rotating chef-crafted menus.

PSC currently manages food operations at over 30 Minor League Baseball venues nationwide. It is part of Levy’s group of companies serving sports fans across North America.

The Richmond Flying Squirrels have been part of Minor League Baseball since 2010 as an affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. The organization is known for community involvement through initiatives like field renovations and scholarships via its nonprofit arm.

Further details about CarMax Park’s hospitality features are expected in coming months.
