Stephanie Zimmermann of Chicago Public Media and freelance journalist Wendy Wei have been named recipients of the 2026 Richard C. Longworth Media Fellowships by the Pulitzer Center. Their upcoming international reporting projects will focus on Lithuania's ties with the Midwest and migrant health care models in Germany.

Chicago Public Schools has teamed up with Chicago Public Media to add local news stories into its English Language Arts curriculum for elementary grades. Students have contributed original photography inspired by professional journalists' work as part of this new program.
