Michelada Fest is set to return to Union Park in Chicago from June 26-28, following its cancellation last year due to concerns over artists’ visas and the political climate under the Trump administration.
The festival, which celebrates Chicago’s diverse Latin community, will take place at 1501 W Randolph St. This year’s event includes a free community day on Friday, where attendees are encouraged to make a $10 suggested donation benefiting La Casa Norte, a nonprofit that supports people facing housing insecurity.
Headliners for the three-day festival include Latin Mafia, Puerto Rican artist Jhayco, Jessie Reyez, Mexican-American artist DannyLux, and Sean Paul. Other performers listed in the press release are Panter Belico, Dareyes de la Sierra, Ovy On The Drums, Paloma Mami, Chuyin, Angely Khriz, Julio Caesar, El Malo, Grupo Love Secreto, Nezza, Coronado, Eva Maria, M-DOK and Las Vibras de Chicago.
“Since 2022 Michelada Fest has been rooted in celebrating Chicago’s diverse Latin community that connects generations and cultures,” said co-owners Fernando Nieto and Miguel Torres in a statement. “In addition to delivering an amazing musical experience our goal has always been to give Chicago a festival for us by us. This is why we also strive to give back through community day and feature the local artist scene.”
Festival activities will include a merchandise pop-up featuring Gente Fina—a fashion brand based in both Chicago and Durango—as well as art installations by Sentrock Studio. Single admission tickets for Saturday or Sunday will cost $89 each when they go on sale online Friday; children under five may attend for free.
The event continues its tradition of highlighting micheladas—drinks made with beer lime juice sauces spices tomato juice and more—and aims to foster connection within the city’s Latin communities.
