Kitty’s Cosmopolitan Club, a new cocktail lounge from Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants and Partner/Beverage Director Kevin Beary, will open this week on the lower level of 51 W. Hubbard Street in River North, according to a Mar. 24 announcement.
The opening introduces a new destination for cocktails and hospitality in the area. The venue aims to combine classic cocktail references with modern techniques, offering guests both familiarity and innovation in their drinks.
“Kitty’s Cosmopolitan Club’s guiding principle is to offer cocktails that have a classic reference point, utilizing modern techniques,” said Partner and Beverage Director Kevin Beary. “This allows the guest to base their ordering decision on a familiar favorite while enjoying the benefits of modern cocktail-making methods and spirit selection, beyond traditional recipes.”
The bar will feature ten standout spirits per category chosen for quality and performance in refined classics. Guests can expect services such as traditional tableside stirred martinis as well as Chicago’s first dedicated -16°F walk-in freezer cocktail station for exceptionally cold drinks. The team includes Bar Managers Tyler Maclellan and Scott Kitsmiller alongside experienced local bartenders.
James Beard Award-nominated Chef Thai Dang (Crying Tiger and HaiSous Vietnamese Kitchen) together with Chef Bob Broskey (RPM Restaurants and Gus’ Sip & Dip) have created a food menu featuring raw bar options and curated dim sum. David Collins Studio designed the interior space.
Kitty’s Cosmopolitan Club will operate from Wednesday through Sunday between 5:00 PM and 12:00 AM.
