Kincade’s, a bar that first opened in Chicago forty years ago, will open a second location in Wrigleyville this March at 3660 N. Clark St., according to a March 13 announcement. The new venue will take over the former Lost Never Found and Casey Moran’s space directly across from Wrigley Field.

The expansion comes as Kincade’s celebrates its 40th anniversary and is part of Lucky 13 Hospitality Group’s continued growth. Lucky 13 also operates Matchbox, Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar, and the recently opened Stolen Saddle. Leaders said the move has been planned for nearly two years.

“We were looking for that neighborhood bar, and we immediately thought of Kincade’s and the community it has,” Michelle Lopez, who oversees operations and human resources for Lucky 13, said. “It’s the 40-year anniversary, so we thought it was perfect timing.”

The new two-floor bar will feature amenities such as a rooftop, beer garden, pool tables, darts, arcade games, more than thirty TVs, and four large video walls for game-day viewing. Lopez said: “We’re going to be a destination for sports fans. Obviously baseball, but we’re going outside of that — World Cup, hockey, basketball, football — anything and everything.”

Evan Chew, Lucky 13’s district manager, said: “We’ve been in Wrigley for a long time. This isn’t our first go at it, so we do understand the neighborhood really well.” Chew added that they aim to offer consistent drink specials with “neighborhood pricing” despite being located in an area where prices often rise during games or concerts.

Lopez acknowledged challenges operating near Wrigley Field due to fluctuating crowds depending on Cubs games but emphasized their goal is to build a year-round base of regulars. Chew said: “We don’t want to be only busy on Cubs games. We want to build a community and a group of regulars who come see us in the middle of winter, on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday when there’s nothing going on.”

Kincade’s Wrigley plans a soft opening in early March with full launch before the Cubs’ home opener. On home game days there will be free hot dogs with any drink purchase from an hour before first pitch through an hour after the game. The rooftop is expected to open this summer.

“At its core, Kincade’s has always been about community,” Chew said. “We wanted to bring that heart of it down here. Something a little more comfortable, a little more approachable than the typical bars down here.”
