Choose Chicago announced on March 23 a series of internal staff promotions across several departments, including sales, marketing, communications, human resources, and the Chicago Sports Commission. The organization said these changes are aimed at strengthening its leadership team and supporting efforts to attract and retain top talent.
The promotions come as Choose Chicago seeks to maintain its position as a leading destination for meetings, conventions, and tourism. Leadership said that investing in employees is key to delivering results for partners and elevating the city’s reputation globally.
Dustin Arnheim was promoted to Chief Sales Officer after serving as Senior Vice President of Sales and Client Services since July 2022. In his previous role, Arnheim led teams that exceeded sales goals while fostering a collaborative culture. As Chief Sales Officer, he will oversee global sales strategy with the goal of increasing meetings demand and client engagement. “Dustin’s leadership has been instrumental in strengthening our sales organization and delivering meaningful results for Chicago,” said Kristen Reynolds, President and CEO of Choose Chicago. “He brings a powerful combination of strategic vision, deep industry relationships, and a people-first leadership style that will continue to elevate Chicago’s position as a premier global meetings destination.”
Other senior advancements include Radhika Agarwal’s promotion to Vice President of Human Resources. In her new role she will focus on modernizing performance management systems and enhancing employee development opportunities within the organization.
Additional promotions were announced: Joanie Faletto becomes Senior Manager of Social Media; Brenna Gannon is now Senior Marketing & Communications Specialist at the Chicago Sports Commission; Stephen Crano has been named Senior Manager of Corporate Communications.
“These promotions reflect both the strength of our team and our commitment to building a best-in-class organization,” Reynolds said. “By investing in our people and creating clear pathways for growth, we are strengthening our ability to deliver results for our partners, elevate Chicago’s global brand, and drive continued economic impact across our city.”
According to Choose Chicago’s announcement, its sales and marketing initiatives generate more than $20 billion annually in economic impact for the city while supporting over 130,000 jobs.
